Our Little Firecracker

Hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July!  Here are a few of my faves from our celebrations...

Our little firecracker all ready to celebrate!
Decorating our watermelon cookies.  She had snuck a few cookies (evident by the icing all over her face), so she was pretty much done with sweets at this point!
Finished watermelon cookies.  Thank you Pinterest -- a pin that actually turned out like the original picture! (And if you're wondering, they actually sell this hot pink icing at the grocery store.  No food coloring required!)
Love her reaction to sitting by Harley!
Pops trying out the "sprinklers"
Too mesmerized by the sparklers to look at the camera!

Gettin' Hitched

The first weekend in June, we headed over to see my cousin get married in a beautiful state park in the Hill Country -- perfect place for an outdoor wedding!  Love when we get to see our extended family during the summer instead of just at the holidays!

Snuck in a family photo while we were all dressed up...
Our extended side of the family (minus a few key players who couldn't be there.... missed you guys!).  I think we're somewhere around 46 or 47 now?
My cousin and his beautiful bride... love this pic!  They both look so happy! :)

Congrats and God bless, Jeff and Delta!  Thanks for letting us help celebrate your big day!

Can we PLEASE swim now??

How can I say no to this face?  So glad it's time to enjoy the pool at Lollie and Pops' house again!

May Babies

May is a busy birthday month around our house -- Todd and I both have birthdays this month, so it means lots of family dinners and celebrations! :)

Hate that this one is blurry -- would have been super cute!
Daddy turned the big 3 - 0 this month!
Happy Birthday Daddy!

Tiny Gardener

Lindsay loves to spend time in Grandpa's garden!  Here are some favorites of the last few weeks, enjoying this incredible weather out in the garden:

So excited that it was finally time to pick the strawberries!
Almost too many carrots to carry!
Proud of her tomatoes!
The garden marker rocks I painted for Grandpa for Christmas -- so neat to see them out in the garden!
A close up of all the garden rocks I painted.  They turned out pretty cute,  I think!

Spring Break in San Antonio

This year, our family headed over to San Antonio for Spring Break.  It was nice to get out of town for a few days and see our old stomping grounds.  And even though she had an epic cold (notice the red nose in all of her pictures), Lindsay had a blast visiting Sea World for the first time!

We stayed at the Westin La Cantera -- what an awesome place!  Our room was in the "Casitas",  which were basically little bungalow-style rooms around a private pool area down the hill from the main hotel.  Since the rooms were separated from the main building, each room came with a golf cart to make it easier to get around the grounds.  It was a fun and unexpected treat!

Look out world, someone thinks she is ready to drive!
We spent both days of our trip taking Lindsay to Sea World.  When Todd and I lived in San Antonio after college, we would visit Sea World all the time, so it was fun to bring her here for her first visit!

Sea World has a place for smaller kids called the "Bay of Play", and it features the Sesame Street characters in various rides and character interactions.  The highlight of our trip was having breakfast with our Sesame Street friends!

Big Bird was soooo tall!
Elmo is our favorite!
She wasn't too sure about Bert and Ernie that morning...
But she warmed up to them when we saw them the next day!
Loving on Zoe
And one more pic with Cookie Monster!
Lindsay's day was officially made when we spotted the carousel -- in her mind, carousels rank right up there with animal cookies and Disney princesses! :)  I lost count of how many times we rode it, but she loved doing it over and over.  She was not, however, very cooperative when I tried to capture the moment on camera!
She would look everywhere but at the camera...
"Mom, seriously?  We're busy riding the horse over here!"
What a fun little Spring Break trip!  We are excited to go back and visit San Antonio again soon!

Bluebonnets 2013

This was our second attempt at bluebonnet pictures this year.  The first weekend we went out, we were fighting cold temperatures and TONS of other families/photographers... we could barely get Lindsay to look at the camera, let alone get a smile!  We went out again today after school and it was much better.  Only two or three other families were there, and even though the bluebonnets were a little trampled, we got some great pictures!

Pretty blue eyes like her Daddy!
Cannot go anywhere these days without at least one princess in tow...
