Lindsay turned 8 months old this month! She is 19.2 lbs and getting cuter by the minute. :) She loves people and going places to see the "action" -- meaning she's the perfect shopping buddy, has a ball at the park, and can't get enough of restaurants and grocery stores!
Here are a few of our 8 month accomplishments:
- "spins" and scoots backwards all over the place (no forward crawling yet, though)
- tries to feed herself with the spoon and ends up with more on her face than in her mouth
- LOVES visiting family (Grandma and Grandpa, and Lollie, Pops, and Aunt Abi)
- started veggies and fruits... so far, the favorites are peas and squash
- started shaking her head "no", but only to imitate you doing it
- still chews on EVERYTHING with no teeth to show for it
- loves to feel textures, especially different fabrics... quite a few times, we've found her on the edge of the rug entertaining herself with the different feeling of the rug vs. the wood floor
- favorite toy: teething ring
- wears 6-9 month clothes and size 3 diapers

We got to see Aunt Abi at the CPHS Kick-Off Pep Rally (not sure what that is on the picture, I think it's from the flash) |

Now that Mommy's back at work, L's back staying with Grandma during the day. :) |
|
Not really a fan of carrots the first time around... they grew on her after a few tries. |
|
Probably better to wait until we have a tooth before we try steak.... |
|
She liked squash from the very beginning! |

Sweet on sweet potatoes |

We took a day trip visit our alma mater, and of course we had to stop by Mommy's old sorority house! |

Getting excited about bananas |
So, as you can tell, we have yet to meet a food we don't really like... she even gets excited about carrots now that we've had them a few times. We're thankful she's already a good eater! She is so much fun, and we are constantly amazed at how lucky we are to have such a great little baby in our lives. We love you lots, baby bird! :)
