Over the holiday weekend, we took Lindsay swimming for the first time at my parents' house (Lollie and Pops). She was a little unsure at first, but ended up loving it once she figured out how to splash and kick in the water! (Just to warn you, this post is pretty picture-loaded thanks to my parents' awesome waterproof camera!)

Ready to go in our "baby suit" |

Silly girl loves to roll over to her belly all the time! |
|
First getting in the water... definitely very serious and not sure what to do. |
|
Getting more comfortable in the pool.... |
|
And we've figured out how to splash! I don't think she made the connection between her splashing and getting water all over her face. |
|
Learning to kick our feet in the water... which, by the way, has made bath time MUCH messier than it used to be! |

Hanging out in the float that Pops found for us! |

Our happy little fish! |
After swimming on Sunday, we headed to the local 4th of July parade on Monday. Lindsay was fascinated by all the sights and sounds, especially the high school bands that came through. We never could get a good picture of her at the parade because she was watching so intently!
|
Too interested in the parade to look at the camera! |

Hanging out that evening, munching on a teething ring. |

The 4th of July flag cake I made for our dinner |

Since our fireworks show was cancelled, this is how we ended Lindsay's first 4th of July... fireworks on TV. :) |
We hope you and your family had a great 4th of July weekend, too! Happy summer!
