As we were driving to church on Sunday, we had this little gem of a conversation with Lindsay:
L: Mommy, snakes are SOOOO sneaky!
Me: Why do you say that?
L: The sneaky snake told Adam and Eve to eat the fruit in the garden.
Me: Who did the fruit belong to?
L: It was God's tree.
Me: Ooh, you're right. What did God say about it?
L: God said no. But they made a bad decision. They ate it.
Me: That's right, that was a bad decision. Then what happened?
L: They had to leave the garden. And change clothes. And then they had to plant their own garden. And they became grandparents. And they died.
What makes me laugh about this story is that she heard it about a month ago when Grandma and Grandpa taught her Sunday School class. Apparently Grandpa's "Sneaky Snakes" story made quite the impression! Can't wait to hear her re-tell other Bible stories she learns!
